Entry Requirements
You may need to call emergency services or resolve conflicts during your work. Effective communication is essential. We assume current SIA licence holders already have these skills but will check your literacy to see if you need additional support in the course.
This qualification is aimed at learners aged over 18, due to age restrictions on applying for an SIA licence.
All learners must present with a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (equivalent or higher) before undertaking an SIA course in Security or Door Supervision, or Refresher Training.
Our Door Supervisor Refresher Course With Emergency First Aid includes this essential training.
If you already have your valid first aid certificate, book this course instead.
Booking Options
If you have a valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate for at least 12 months from the course start date, only attend the refresher training. Email your certificate by replying to the booking confirmation email after enrolling and paying. We will verify your certificate with the training provider.
Photo and ID Requirements
You will be required to present appropriate and adequate identification that complies with SIA specifications.
Please consult the ID requirements sheet, which will be provided with your joining instructions, to ensure you possess the necessary and sufficient identification to participate in the course and take the exams.

Choose the Best
Unfortunately, there is a lot of poor quality door supervision training out there – from trainers that have very little experience or industry knowledge.
IBA UK were in the security business before the SIA was formed. We understand the door supervision business inside-out, from defusing conflict to the legal implications of physical intervention. We can train you and your staff to a high standard of professionalism. After our expert training, most of our trainees find the actual assessments straightforward, and our pass rate is high.
