Course Summary
Each course covers one of the 15 standards within the Care Certificate. This allows learners to just complete specific areas of training they need without purchasing an entire Care Certicficate course.
The Care Certificate is the identified set of standards that health and social care workers adhere to in their day to day working lives. It was developed to provide structured and consistent learning of introductory skills, knowledge and behaviours required to work in health and social care.
Who should take these courses?
Anyone starting work in the health or social care sector who needs training on individual standards of the Care Certificate.
This includes health care assistants, assistant practitioners, care support workers and anyone supporting clinical roles in the NHS where they have direct contact with patients. It also includes adult social care workers providing direct care in residential and nursing homes and hospices, plus home care workers.
Caring volunteers, porters, cooks, drivers and other employees that have direct contact with patients and service users may also need to undertake some or all of the standards required.
If you need to complete all of the standards, please see our Care Certificate course page.
How long does each course take?
Around 30 – 60 minutes for each.
How is the course assessed and accredited?
The course provides the teaching and materials necessary for CPD and training purposes. Multiple-choice questions are provided so that learners can test their knowledge and understanding. However, please note that this is not the same as accreditation.
If a learner wishes to accredit this learning, he/she will need to take an examination with the appropriate board and be supervised remotely. These services are available from IBA UK at a reasonable rate – please contact us for details.
